The Sleipnir Tours Iceland has undergone the work of calculating CO2 emissions from operations based on the official Umhverfisstofnun  (The Environment Agency of Iceland) guidelines.


That gives us an accurate image of the carbon dioxide (CO2) and other greenhouse gas emissions. It helps to take effective actions towards becoming carbon-neutral and neutralizing our past emissions. 


We seriously take official guidelines to protect the environment and contribute to sustainable tourism in Iceland.


Our goal is to serve as a role model for travel companies and travelers.

Collective Effort

We do our best for our operations to be as eco-friendly as possible. We actively work to Increase public awareness in regard to collective greenhouse gas emissions.

Success is achieved by making it possible for individual parties to take responsibility for their own emissions.


Each traveller can conteract the negative effects of climate change an offset part of carbon footprint by donating 500 ISK to one of the projects of United Nation Carbon Offset Platform.

After careful research with the assist of Umhverfisstofnun (The Environment Agency of Iceland) we decided to choose reliable offset platform that offers an certentity that funds will be well distributed.


You can participate during the check out of one of our Icelandic Glacier Tours you will have an option to donate 500 ISK to United Nations (UN).

We collect donations and send 100% of collected amount each month to UN. As an confirmation we receive a special certificate that will be visible on this page. On the official document you can see which project we supported with our collective work.
